Develop your school Social Emotional Learning (SEL) program using this resource.

Program development and execution is difficult. Some of the difficulty comes from figuring out what metrics to use as measurement. If you're trying to implement a Social Emotional Learning (SEL) program in your elementary school, you need this resource.

In many ways, the State of Ohio is ahead of the curve regarding Social Emotional Learning. So much so that they have develop state standards for social emotional learning.

Administrators, Counselors, School Psychologists, and Special Educators

We took the State of Ohio Standards based on The Framework for Systemic Social and Emotional Learning (CASEL, 2017), and made it measurable.

The implementation worksheets collect data specific to SEL activities/goals and are designed around the 5 competencies; self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills and responsible decision-making. Districts are now starting to develop School-based Intervention Teams (SBIT) and this resource gives the perfect framework to evaluate student SEL performance in this SBIT setting.

Measurement and Data

Data, data, data!! It's such a huge deal in the world of special education and also for administrators. Worksheets are broken down into sections A-E. In each section the evaluator uses a 0-5 scale with 0 meaning that a students particular skill is not demonstrated or observed. Worksheets auto-calculate progress towards overall competency in an easy to understand way. Percentages automatically transfer to a printable sheet to share simple data with parents and/or administrators. If you're savvy with spreadsheets, you can easily change the scale's rating, allowing you to use a 0-2, 0-3, or an other combination of the scale. If you're not savvy, reach out to us after your purchase and we'll make the change for you.
